Versnelling digitalisering in de logistieke keten

During the ICT & Logistics exhibition in Utrecht on November 8, the official starting signal was given for the approach to accelerate digitization in logistics chains in the Netherlands. With the Digital Infrastructure Logistics (DIL) program, the Dutch government and the business community are working together to create future-proof logistics chains in which digital cooperation plays the leading role.

The goal of DIL is to promote efficient collaboration throughout the logistics chain. New ways of working are needed to share data in a secure and manageable way.

At Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, this is being worked on within the Smart Cargo Mainport Program (SCMP) initiative. The projects in SCMP improve chain processes by making chain agreements and through digitization and better data sharing. The projects can be supported from the DIL program. With DIL, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol can also work on new digital services on the Port Community System Cargonaut to support chain processes.

In “Living labs,” Dutch companies are already beginning to put into practice.

About the Digital Infrastructure Logistics (DIL) program

DIL is a program in which government and business work together and is financially supported by a contribution from the National Growth Fund. The Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, the port companies of Rotterdam and Amsterdam, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, evofenedex, TLN, customs and business representatives are working together on the implementation. The DIL program accelerates the development of a decentralized basic data infrastructure and helps entrepreneurs take steps toward data-driven working. They are working to create a competitive and sustainable cargo hub.
